This house became our residence upon our return from the U.S. on August 11, 2000.  Single level, three bedrooms, two baths, and a "great" room with served as kitchen, dining room and living room.  In the back of the house was a "CR" (comfort room) with a commode and shower, a small bedroom and a "dirty" (open-air) kitchen.

Bedroom number two served as both my office and classroom when classes began in September 2000.

The first class in attendance numbered 10, pictured on page 4 of the photo album.  The eating area in the back of the house was not large enough for more than two or three, so we put  a cover of plastic and wood so larger classes could be protected from the sun and rain while eating.

If we squeezed in my office/classroom could seat 22.  However, two of them would have to stand and move there chairs in the event someone wanted to enter or leave the room.  We reached that 22 point in the class of May 2002 and began praying for the Lord's direction regarding a new meeting location should He decide to add to our number.

It was the Lord's intention to add to our number, and He provided in advance.  This became our residence when we returned from our holiday visit to the U.S. on January 17, 2003.  Three bedrooms, bath in the master bedroom, bath in the larger guest bedroom and 1/2 bath in the hallway.  A huge kitchen and dining area and a LARGE living room, plus an office/classroom in the basement that will seat 40 easily.  Beside the 2-car carport there is a room that I guess could be "driver's quarters" that will sleep 4 to 6 people.  In the back of the house is the laundry area, a "dirty" kitchen, a large "CR" , another large, indoor kitchen plus a screened in eating area.  What an awesome, gracious God we serve!

Pastor Lui de Castro teaching in Pastor Pedres' church, the Bible Doctrine Church of Davao City.  Lui has been pastoring the Bacaca Baptist Church for over two years, but once in a while, we in the BDCDC are blessed by his teaching.

The office/classroom at 163 Mariveles

In the office/classroom at 169 Mariveles we could seat 10 with chairs and desks, and by removing the desks we could seat 22.  In this new office/classroom we can seat 18 with chairs and desks and possibly 40 when we remove the desks.  We have seated as many as 26 and had room for much more squeezing and many more chairs.

This is the kitchen area in the back of the main house at our current residence.  All of the cooking is done back here to keep the heat out of the main house. Here is Nita, our niece Amy, and even Pastor Julius Delason preparing a meal for the August 2003 seminar.

Time to eat!

This screened in dining area in the back of the house can seat about 16 to 18, so some were seated on chairs outside of the picture area.
